Todays blog is brought to you from the "Rodeo Drive" of Rome. Well, actually that is where a lot of these pictures were snapped (FYI - we have been thrilled with our only Iphone camera trip...it screams pilgram and not tourist) :) Ha! We ate lunch at a really cool restaurant called, Gusto! Highly recommend! Went to at least 5 more churches today (And we thought Nashville had a lot of mega churches).
Note of thought for today: every painting and sculpture that I have seen since being here does not have ay smiling. When was it ok to start smiling in photos? It baffles me. Were they not happy? Did people smile in 1500? Did they smile in real life and not in photos...I don't understand. Smiling must have been invented around 1930. Yep that's what I am going with. :) But seriously...why?
Ok here are the pics for today:
Shopping...the rodeo drive of Italy. The Spanish Steps are through the middle
Mr. Italy himself, Salvator Ferragamo!
These lights blinked...it reminded us of Japan :)
Via Condotti...
Only in Italy would Dolce and Gabbana have a vegetable market in its window!
Basilica dei Ambriogio E Carlo
Maybe my favorite street I have walked down in Italy so far...Via Margutta!
I try to find signs with street names on this one...this one stood out to me.
Ate at a really cool restaurant called, Gusto!
Rain, rain go away...please!
What do you do when it rains all day?
Go to more churches, Chiesa di San Luigi Dei Grancesi
Next Church:
Basilica Di Agostino
